LEE W. JOHNSON
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday at United in Christ Lutheran Church in Eveleth. Pastor Joel Rova-Hegener will officiate. Gathering for family and friends will begin at 1:00 p.m. Following services, everyone is invited to join the family at the church for coffee and fellowship.
Lee W. Johnson, 44, of Eveleth, died peacefully on Monday, March 1, 2010, at St. Mary’s Medical Center Hospice surrounded by his family.
He was born on August 25, 1965 in Eveleth to Lee Kurt and Elaine (Korpi) Johnson. Lee was a 1983 graduate of Eveleth High School, received his A.A. degree from Mesabi Community College and his B.S. degree in business from Bemidji State University. He worked in sales for Potlatch in Kentucky and for the corporate office in Spokane, Washington. Lee attended United in Christ Lutheran Church. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, hunting and spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by his brothers, Kurt (Teresa) Johnson of Hermantown, Robert (Mary) Johnson of Eveleth and Dylan (Susan) Johnson of Pike Lake; his sister, Diana (Al) Pederson of Bemidji; nieces and nephews, Heather, Michelle, Haakon, Luke, Levi, Shawn, Raija and Matthew; his grandmother, Esther Larson of Virginia; two aunts, an uncle and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
